The Form 8621 Calculator™ is a proprietary software developed by Expat Tax Tools.

Form 8621 Calculator™ can be licensed based on your business size. It means you can get the solution that fits your needs and budget.

Annual Subscription Fee

To utilize the calculator, an annual subscription is necessary, priced at $59.40 USD or $79.80 CAD.

Form 8621 Calculator™ Bundles

In addition to the subscription fee you can purchase forms individually or in a bundle as outlined in the following table:

When purchasing a bundle at regular prices, additional bundle updates can be acquired at a rate of $9.95 USD / $13.95 CAD per form within one year from the date of the bundle purchase.

Bundle pricing allows you to purchase only the amount of forms you need.

Note that if you need to re-calculate a form, there is no charge for that.

Refunds

Since bundles do not expire we offer no refunds for unused forms.

Inactive Accounts

If your annual subscription fee is not paid by the renewal date, your account will be classified as inactive. A monthly inactivity fee of $4.95 USD / 6.65 CAD will accumulate for the entire period of inactivity to maintain your client information and database.

Reinstate Inactive Accounts

You have a two-year grace period to reactivate your account. The reactivation fee is waived for the first 90 days of inactivity; after 90 days, a reactivation fee of $125 USD / $175 CAD applies in addition to all accumulated inactivity fees.

Prepaid Forms

Your account credit, designated for prepaid forms, is protected and will not be used for these fees under normal circumstances. However, if the total accrued inactivity fees ever meet or exceed the value of your credit, the entire credit balance will be applied to settle a portion of the debt. At this point, your account will have a zero balance, and the two-year period for permanent deletion of your client information will begin. To reactivate your account before deletion, you must pay all outstanding inactivity fees and the applicable reactivation fee.

For example:

• An account with a $50 credit expires in January.
• By November, the accrued fees (~$49.50 for 10 months) are still less than the credit. The credit remains untouched.
• In December, the 11th-month fee accrues, making the total ~$54.45. This now exceeds the $50 credit.
• The $50 credit is automatically applied, and the account is considered to have a zero balance. The two-year countdown for data deletion begins from this point.

Technical Support

Complimentary technical support, including one free one-on-one training session of up to 90 minutes, is available only to customers who purchase a bundle of 50 forms or more. This includes reasonable follow-up questions related to software use, setup, or troubleshooting.

Pay-as-you-go purchases do not include complimentary support. Support for pay-as-you-go customers, as well as additional support requests, extended training, data entry assistance, or issues caused by user error, may be billed at $150 USD / $225 CAD per 30-minute increment, with a minimum charge of $150 USD / $225 CAD.

No support fee will be charged if the issue is confirmed to be caused by a software error or system malfunction.
